KUALA LUMPUR, 26 July 2016 - Hud Hud Media Sdn Bhd (HHMSB), founded and owned by Malaysia’s own power couple, Johan Nawawi and Nora Dato’ Haji Ariffin launched their newest application, the “UMMI APPS” 2016, today. The event held at the Pitching Centre Auditorium, Platinum Sentral, Kuala Lumpur saw Y.B Dato’ Jailani Johari, Deputy Minister of Multimedia and Communication, launching the new mobile application for public download.

The ceremony introduced 11 new edutainment based mobile applications to the mobile world. Based on the popular children’s animated television series, “UMMI ..ceritalah pada kami” created by Nora, who is also the Creative Director at HHMSB ,the applications will span across several different genres to include games, education, entertainment as well as general information. Like its parent animated television series, the mobile applications will be targeted to all children aged 5 to 11 years old. As children within this age range are not usually owners of mobile devices, the UMMI APPS will also be targeted to parents who would like to have access to applications that are safe for their child’s use.

“We want UMMI not to just be another hit animated television series both locally as well as internationally, but as a brand or an icon that reaches out to the masses on various platforms, be it from books, merchandising, educational tools and with its launching today, via mobile apps,” Nora Dato’ Haji Ariffin said during the launch ceremony. As the UMMI television series is also currently on the move, from local turf to Indonesia, Brunei and some parts of Middle East and North Africa, it is expected that the expansion will contribute to the increased variation of audiences utilising the UMMI APPS as this progress continues.

With the launching of UMMI APPS 2016, HHMSB is not only expanding the UMMI brand but its empire. Nora adds, “As a natural process of progress, venturing into the mobile application business is seen as a positive growth and one that acts as an active platform in reaching HHMSB’s target audience. At present, apart from introducing our 11 mobile applications and production of the hit animated television series, Hud Hud Media Sdn Bhd also runs an online store, and owns its own YouTube Channel named HUD HUD MEDIA.”

The UMMI APPS mobile applications are readily available for download for all current and latest mobile devices via the Apple App Store for Apple IOS users and Google Play Store for Android users.
